ECO-GT at Ideatorium: Sharing Experience in Academic Teaching and Communication

On 6–7 June 2025, the Polish ECO-GT team from Gdańsk University of Technology took part in the 10th National Academic Teaching Conference “Ideatorium”, held at Gdańsk University of Technology.
Ideatorium conference is a space for academic teachers from all disciplines to exchange ideas and experiences related to designing engaging, student-centred education. The conference focuses on innovative teaching methods, effective communication in education, and building meaningful learning experiences that respond to contemporary academic and social challenges.
This is why it has been the perfect platform to present the assumptions and achievements of the ECO-GT project, sharing practical experiences in developing students’ communication, collaboration, and trust-building skills. Although ECO-GT is one of several educational initiatives implemented by the team, it reflects a broader, long-term commitment to fostering non-standard soft skills that are rarely addressed explicitly in engineering curricula, yet are essential for responsible and impactful professional practice.
Ideatorium proved to be an exceptionally valuable event—both as a forum for dialogue about teaching and communication among educators, and as a source of inspiration drawn from real classroom experiences shared by participants. The conference provided us with renewed energy, fresh ideas, and concrete motivation to continue developing our educational activities over the coming year. We are already looking forward to the next edition!
